Wood enters his first season with USA Hockey's National Team Development Program and will work with the U.S. National Under-17 Team this upcoming season.

Prior to joining the NTDP, Wood spent 12 seasons in the same role for the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL. During his tenure, the Lumberjacks made eight postseason appearances, advancing to the semifinals six times, reaching the championship series twice and capturing the Clark Cup this past season.

Previously, he was an athletic training student at Central Michigan University, where he graduated in 2013 with a Bachelors of Science degree with a concentration in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine.
