Ryan Hayes Assistant Coach

Hometown Syracuse, N.Y.

The 2024-25 season will be Ryan Hayes' second as an assistant coach with USA Hockey's National Team Development Program. An NTDP alum (2005-07), Hayes will be on the bench with the U.S. National Under-18 Team.

Last season, he helped lead the U.S. National Under-17 Team to a first place finish at the 2024 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament and a second place finish at the 2023 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

Hayes joined USA Hockey after spending the last 13 years playing professionally, including five seasons (2010-15) across the ECHL and eight campaigns (2015-23) in Europe, mostly in Switerland’s top league before finishing his career last year in Austria.

Hayes competed in two IIHF Under-18 Men’s World Championships, helping Team USA to gold (2006) and silver (2007) medals.
