The U.S. National Team Under-18 Team had two players named USHL Player of the Week today the league announced.
K’Andre Miller (Minnetonka, Minn.) was named the Defenseman of the Week while Jonathan Mor (Highland Park, Ill.) was named Goaltender of the Week.
Miller recorded five points on the weekend (2-3-5). He picked up three points (2-1-3) in the U18s 5-0 win against the Central Illinois Flying Aces Saturday night at USA Hockey Arena. The night before, he added two assists in the U18s win at Youngstown in its 8-5 win.
The Wisconsin commit tallied seven assists in 34 games with the U17 Team last season. This year, he was named to the CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects game and was named a B-rated skater on NHL Central Scouting's Players to Watch List earlier in November.
Mor recorded his first shutout of the season on Saturday night in the 5-0 win, stopping all 29 shots. Mor currently has a 1-0-0 record with a 1.36 goals-against-average and a .960 save percentage in two USHL games.
This is both player's first career Player of the Week honor.
Sioux Falls’ Artem Ivanyuzhenkov was named Forward of the Week.
