Karki stops 58 in loss to Fargo

U.S. National Under-17 Team goaltender Keegan Karki (Sartell, Minn.) recorded 58 saves in its loss to the Fargo Force 5-1 Friday night at Scheels Arena.

The Force came out early, scoring at 1:31 of the opening frame on a wrap-around from Jacob Paganelli.

Fargo extended their lead to two at 15:50 of the first period.

At 13:08 of the second period the Force sent a wrister in from the slot to pull ahead 3-0.

Jake Goldowski (Thornhurst, Pa.) put the U17s on the board at 19:30 of the second period. He sent the puck past the blocker of Fargo goaltender Matthew Murray on a one-timer from Jonathan Gruden (Rochester, Mich.) and K’Andre Miller (Hopkins, Minn.).

Fargo added another two goals in the third period.

The U17s are set to meet the Force again tomorrow night at Scheels Arena in Fargo, N.D. at 8:05 p.m. ET.
