U.S. National Under-18 Team forward Joel Farabee (Cicero, N.Y.) earned CCM/USHL Forward of the Week honors after collecting seven points in two wins against the Waterloo Black Haws last weekend. 

Friday, Farabee scored the game-winning goal for Team USA with under 10 seconds remaining in regulation to cap a comeback that started with the U18s being down 3-0 in the second period. Farabee also picked up an assist on the game-tying goal that took place five minutes before his game-winner. 

Saturday, Farabee recorded a natural hat trick during a five-minute span in the second period. He once again sparked the Team USA offense, giving the U.S. its first lead of the game with a breakaway goal at the 14:34 mark. This also served as the eventual game-winner. Farabee also picked up two assists, including the primary assist on the U18s opening tally. 

Farabee has 41 points (23-18-41) in 50 games for the NTDP this season. He currently ranks seventh in the USHL in rookie scoring with 21 points (12-9-21) in 24 games. 

This marks Farabee's first career USHL honor. This is the Under-18 Team's fourth USHL honor this year. Other players to earn CCM/USHL Player of the Week awards this season include defensemen Quinn Hughes (Orlando, Fla.) and goaltender Dylan St. Cyr (Northville, Mich.).
