U17s Blanked by Gamblers, 5-0

The U.S. National Under-17 Team fell to the Green Bay Gamblers, 5-0, here tonight at the Resch Center.

The game remained scoreless until the 18:07 mark of the opening period, when John Leonard picked the far top corner of the net to put the Gamblers on the board.

Chris Grando doubled the lead for Green Bay just 2:24 into the second frame. The U17s trailed 3-0 after Nolan Moyle scored on a wrist shot from the right circle with 7:06 to play.

Green Bay's Easton Brodzinski finished a one-timer with :08 on the clock during a five-on-three U.S. penalty kill to put the U.S. down 4-0.

Brock Caufield added the only goal of the third period at 16:22 for the 5-0 final.
