The U.S. National Under-17 Team twice overcame deficits but ultimately couldn't respond to a three-goal third period by the Omaha Lancers as the U.S. fell, 6-3, here tonight at Ralston Arena.

Filip Suchy opened the scoring for the Lancers early in the first period, but Tyler Weiss (Raleigh, N.C.) responded at 9:42 to tie the game at 1-1.

Omaha grabbed another lead only to have Oliver Wahlstrom (Quincy, Mass.) knot the score again less than two minutes later.

Both teams added goals in the second period with Trevor Janicke (Maple Grove, Minn.) scoring for the U.S. and Pierce Crawford converting for Omaha.

The Lancers' Austin Alger found the back of the net twice and Emilio Pettersen scored the final goal of the game in the final period.
