The Under-17 Team fell to the Bloomington Thunder, 6-2, on Friday night.

The U.S. National Under-17 Team fell to the Bloomington Thunder, 6-2, on Friday night at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

Team USA’s goals came midway through the second period. Oliver Wahlstrom (Quincy, Mass.) started the scoring at the 11:21 mark off the assist from Jake Wise (North Andover, Mass.) and Joel Farabee (Cicero, N.Y.). Tyler Weiss (Raleigh, N.C.) doubled the score for the U17s only minutes later with an unassisted goal.

Keegan Karki (Sartell, Minn.) had 39 saves for Team USA.

The U17s will look to split the two-game series in Bloomington tomorrow night. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. CST.
