Last night, USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program invited the Plymouth community to USA Hockey Arena to learn more about the NTDP and what to expect during, and after, the facility's renovation.
Hundreds of people visited the arena; season ticket holders selected their seat locations and children skated with three members of the U.S. National Under-17 Team: Logan Cockerill (Brighton, Mich.), Josh Norris (Oxford, Mich.) and Dylan St. Cyr (Northville, Mich.), and three from the U.S. National Under-18 Team: Keeghan Howdeshell (Brighton, Mich.), William Lockwood (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) and Keenan Suthers (Macomb, Mich.).
CJ's Brewery provided their signature pizza and refreshments.
The event culminated with a Q&A session featuring Scott Monaghan, senior director of operations for the NTDP; Danton Cole, head coach of the U.S. National Under-18 Team; and Don Granato, head coach of the U.S. National Under-17 Team.
The NTDP plays its first game at USA Hockey Arena 7 p.m., Friday, October 9, against the United State Hockey League's Chicago Steel.
