ANN ARBOR, Mich. – USA Hockey today announced that Ryan Hardy has been named director of player personnel at the National Team Development Program. His responsibilities will include leading all identification, evaluation and recruitment efforts, as well as the planning and implementation of the annual NTDP Tryout Camp.
Hardy worked for the past two years as the assistant director of player personnel at the NTDP after working for the National Hockey League during the 2012-13 season as a regional amateur scout in the New England area.
Prior to his stint with the NHL, Hardy served three seasons (2008-10, 2011-12) as an assistant coach with Sacred Heart University’s men’s ice hockey team. The Madison, Connecticut, native also spent time as the general manager and head coach of the Springfield Junior Blues of the North American Hockey League in 2011.
Hardy, who is a Level 5 certified USA Hockey coach, began his career as an assistant coach for Williams College in Massachusetts.
