ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Jordan Greenway (Potsdam, N.Y.) scored one goal and added one assist as the U.S. National Under-18 Team swept the Dubuque Fighting Saints by earning a 4-3 shootout win here this afternoon at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube.

Team USA struck first 10:36 into the opening frame. Jeremy Bracco (Freeport, N.Y.) knocked the puck past Jacob Tehama for the tally. Greenway and Christian Evers (Waukee, Iowa) assisted. Twenty-nine seconds later, Christian Fischer (Wayne Ill.) sniped a shot into the net to double the U18 lead, 2-0. Michael Floodstrand (Hinsdale, Ill.) and Troy Terry (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) registered helpers. Dubuque responded less than a minute later off a rebound to cut the U.S. lead in half.

Team USA was tasked with killing off four separate Dubuque power-play opportunities in the second, including a stint skating down two players, but held the Fighting Saints scoreless. Luke Opilka (St. Louis, Mo.) stopped all 11 shots faced in the stanza and the U.S. carried its one-goal edge into the final 20 minutes of regulation.

Dubuque knotted the game, 2-2, midway through the third period before Greenway restaked the lead for the U.S. on the power play at 12:53. Grant Gabriele (Brighton, Mich.) and Colin White (Hanover, Mass.) picked up assists on the marker. The back-and-forth battle continued as the Fighting Saints notched a goal less than a minute later. No winner was found after 60 minutes and overtime was needed as the squads were square at three goals each.

Terry and Matthew Tkachuk (St. Louis, Mo.) both scored in the shootout and Opilka turned aside both Dubuque shooters to help earn the victory for the U18s.

The U.S. National Under-18 Team wraps up its collegiate portion of the 2014-15 schedule with two games versus the University of Alabama-Huntsville next weekend (Jan. 24-25). Both games are set for 3:07 p.m. ET at the Von Braun Center.
