USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 21-34-6-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the Under-18 Team went 1-3 in Kroger College Series action and the Under-17 Team played to a 1-3 record in USHL games. During the week, the U18s traveled to Bowling Green and lost to the Falcons (L, 6-1, Dec. 29 ), while defeating Utica University the following night (3-2, Dec. 30). On Saturday night, the U18s fell to #1 ranked University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (L, 7-5, Jan. 3), and then dropped to #3 ranked Michigan State University on Sunday (L, 4-2, Jan. 4).
The U17s traded wins with Muskegon, with their win coming at home against the Lumberjacks (W, 4-2, Dec. 27) and fell the following day on the road (L, 4-1, Dec. 28). The following weekend, the U17s lost both contests to Sioux City (L, 7-4, Jan. 2) (L, 8-2, Jan. 3).
The U18s are at home this weekend as they host the last two home Kroger College Series games against the Adrian College on Friday night (Jan. 9) and Trine University (Jan. 10), both at 7:00 p.m. ET. The U17s go on the road to Dubuque, Iowa to play a pair on contests against the Fighting Saints on Friday and Saturday night (Jan. 9 & 10th).
