USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 4-7-3-1 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the Under-18 Team and the Under-17 Team dropped their weekend games. On Friday night, the U18s hosted the University of Notre Dame and lost to the Fighting Irish (L, 5-2, Oct. 3), and the U17s were defeated by the Madison Capitols (L, 8-1, Oct. 3). On Saturday night, the U18s were topped by the No. 1-ranked Western Michigan Broncos (L, 7-0, Oct. 4), and the U17s dropped a close one in overtime to Green Bay (L, 2-1, Oct. 4). To close out the weekend, the U17s came up short to the Gamblers (L, 5-1, Oct. 5).
The U18s are on the road for one game Thursday night as they travel to Madison, Wisconsin, to face off against the University of Wisconsin (Oct. 9) at 8:00 p.m. ET. The following night (Oct. 10), the U17s host their opener versus the Muskegon Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. ET at USA Hockey Arena. The U17s then travel across the state to Muskegon for a Saturday night showdown (Oct. 11) at. 6:10 p.m. ET.
