U17s fall to the Madison Capitols, 8-1

MIDDLETON, Minn. - Alexander Milojevic (Chicago, Ill.) netted his second goal of the season, but the U.S. National Under-17 Team fell to the Madison Capitols, 8-1, on Friday night at Bob Suter’s Legacy Arena.

Madison jumped out to a fast start with three goals in the opening six minutes.

Team USA answered quickly as Finnegan Sears (Medford, Mass.) forced a turnover in the neutral zone and sent a pass to Alexander Milojevic, who beat a defender and fired a shot past the Madison goaltender to cut the deficit to 3-1.

The Capitols extended their lead before the end of the first, taking a 4-1 advantage into the intermission.

Madison struck again late in the second period, scoring at 18:59 to push the lead to 5-1.

Capitols tacked on three in the final period, to make the final score 8-1.

The U17s are back tomorrow night, Oct. 4 as they take on the Green Bay Gamblers. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. ET and will be streamed on FloHockeyTV.
