PLYMOUTH, Mich. - USA Hockey announced the hiring of two new staff members to the National Team Development Program and USA Hockey Arena, both in the communications department, including manager of communications Michael Reedy (West Dundee, Ill.) and coordinator of communications Brendan Bruman (Port Huron, Mich.).
ABOUT REEDY
Michael Reedy, who served as USA Hockey's Brian Fishman Fellow from 2021-23, rejoins USA Hockey after having spent nearly two years as an athletic communications coordinator for Oakland University Athletics. He was responsible for overseeing publicity and managing communication efforts for seven Division I sports and assisted with all 16 sports. Reedy led public relation and communication efforts for the 2023-24 Oakland Men's Basketball Team in the NCAA Tournament.
During his prior tenure at USA Hockey, he served on the communications staff for the 2022 U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team in Beijing, China and for the 2022 U.S. National Junior Team. Reedy also served as the digital content manager for the 2022 U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team.
A 2020 graduate of Ferris State University, Reedy earned his bachelor's degree in Sports Communication.
ABOUT BRUMAN
Brendan Bruman joins USA Hockey following a successful tenure as a communications intern with the National Team Development Program during the 2024-25 season.
Prior to his role with the NTDP, Bruman gained valuable experience through various freelance opportunities, where he developed visual content and supported the growth of several businesses’ social media presence. He also served for three years as the Account Manager for Barstool Sports’ Michigan State Viceroy Program, collaborating with student-athletes and the campus community to produce engaging and dynamic content.
Bruman is a 2024 graduate of Michigan State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
