MADISON, Wis. Will Moore (Ithaca, N.Y.) scored twice and three other USA skaters recorded multiple points as the U.S. National Under-18 Team skated past the Wisconsin Badgers, 6-5, Sunday evening at the Kohl Center. The win was the Under-18 Team's eighth consecutive victory, extending their longest winning streak of the season.

U18 forward Cole McKinney (Lake Forest, Ill.) continued his ridiculous run of late as he netted the game's opening goal at 7:21 to extend his point streak to 12 consecutive games. Jack Murtagh (East Greenbush, N.Y.) and Asher Barnett (Wilmette, Ill.) picked up helpers on the 1-0 score.

Team USA doubled the lead off an LJ Mooney (West Mifflin, Pa.) power-play marker with 6:42 to play in the first. Wisconsin native Drew Schock IV (Green Bay, Wis.) and Mikey Berchild (Minnetonka, Minn.) set up Mooney for his sixth goal of the season.

After Owen Mehlenbacher cut the lead in half for the Badgers, Murtagh restored the two-goal advantage with less than a minute to play in the opening stanza to make it 3-1 contest after 20 minutes.

Moore found the back of the net 104 seconds into the second period to earn his 20th tally of the year.

Barnett, the U.S. captain, extended the lead to 5-1 off of help from Jake Stuart (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) and Berchild to give the defenseman his second multi-point effort of the season.

Moore added his second of the night at 10:03 of the second, getting assists from Donny Bracco (Freeport, N.Y.) and goaltender Patrick Quinlan (Kennett Square, Pa.).

Wisconsin answered 28 seconds later to bring the score to 6-2, where it remained until the second-period buzzer sounded.

The Badgers recorded three goals in the final period, including two from NTDP alums Owen Lindmark and Logan Hensler, but Team USA staved off the late comeback attempt.

U.S. netminder Patrick Quinlan (Kennett Square, Pa.) made a whopping 41 saves to earn his 10th win of the campaign.

The U18s go home to Michigan this week before making the return trip to Wisconsin next weekend for a pair against the Green Bay Gamblers. Friday night's puck drop is slated for 8:05 p.m. ET from the Resch Center in Green Bay; the game will stream live on HockeyTV.
