U17s Outshoot Czechia, but Drop 4-1 Final

Glance named U.S. Player of Game

HELSINKI, Finland Jamie Glance (Stratham, N.H.) scored and the U.S. outshot the Czechs by a 41-29 edge, but the U.S. National Under-17 Team dropped a 4-1 final to Czechia to close the 2025 Under-17 February Five Nations Tournament.

Glance gave Team USA a 1-0 lead late in the opening frame with a power-play strike. Wyatt Cullen (Moorhead, Minn.) slid a no-look pass to Logan Stuart (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) across the slot, and Stuart fed it back to Glance for a one-timer pop into the net.

Nicolas Marik evened the score 6:13 into the second period off the rush, then Jakub Vanecek gave Czechia the lead with a power-play goal just 16 seconds later.

A Josef Holejsovsky made it a 3-1 game with a marker on power-play at the 15:57 mark of the third, then Dominik Krajdl made for the 4-1 final with an empty net tally. 

Team USA finished the tournament to 2-0-0-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L) in tournament play. Brady Knowling (Chicago, Ill.) finished with 25 saves and Glance was named the U.S. Player of Game.
