LINCOLN, Neb. - Jamie Glance (Stratham, N.H.) extended his point streak to eight games, but the U.S. National Under-17 Team fell to te Lincoln Stars tonight from the Ice Box.
The Stars broke the ice 4:33 into the contest with a Jack Pechar tally, then added seven more goals to take an 8-0 lead after 20.
Glance got the U.S. on. the board just 1:17 into the middle frame for his 10th point in eight games. Trevor Theuer (Clarkston, Mich.) picked up a loose puck along the boards and fed Glance as he skated into the slot for a one-timer finish.
Lincoln put up a pair of goals in before the period's close for a 10-1 lead, then added an 11th 1:59 into the third.
Landon Amrhein (Celina, Texas) added one more to the U.S. tally with 11:24 to play for the 11-2 final. Logan Stuart (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) picked off the puck in the U.S. zone and sent a stretch pass to Amrhein at center ice, who deked out three Lincoln skaters for the late score.
