TABOR, Czechia - The U.S. National Under-18 Team scored three goals in each period from nine different skaters to cap the U18 Five Nations with a 9-1 win over Switzerland on Sunday morning.

Switzerland netted the first goal of the game with 4:20 to play in the opening frame, but Team USA quickly responded with a trio before the intermission. Richard Gallant (Concord, Mass.) collected the first, sniping a shot from a jumble in the hashes off help from Charlie Trethewey (Woodbine, Md.) and Cole McKinney (Lake Forest, Ill.).

Landon Hafele (Fairbanks, Alaska) connected 34 seconds later as he redirected a floating backhand shot from Garrett Lindberg (Moorhead, Minn.) through a screened Swiss netminder.

Team USA added a power-play score from Conrad Fondrk (White Bear Lake, Minn.) to make it three scores in a 1:23 span. Donny Bracco (Freeport, N.Y.) and McKinney went back-and-forth at the top of the zone before McKinney went cross-crease to Fondrk for a one-timer score and 3-1 lead.

The United States added another trio in the middle 20 minutes that began with Trethewey's second goal in as many days. Right after the expiration of a U.S. power play, Trethewey ripped a wrister from the top of the right circle off of assists from Drew Schock (Green Bay, Wis.) and Gallant.

McKinney tacked on another with a sharp-angled shot from in close just 73 seconds later. Maceo Phillips (Wayzata, Minn.) collected the lone assist on the 5-1 goal.

Lincoln Kuehne (West Fargo, N.D.) rounded out the period's scoring as he lit the lamp with a point shot that deflected off a Swiss stick and in. Will Moore (Ithaca, N.Y.) assisted on Kuehne's first of the tournament.

Jack Murtagh (East Greenbush, N.Y.), Jacob Kvasnicka (Wayzata, Minn.) and Jake Stuart (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) all found the back of the net in the third period for the game's 9-1 final.

Slavick finished with 17 saves to collect his first win of the tournament.

The U18s return to the United States next weekend for a three-in-three set over the weekend. The first pair of contests returns the squad to Kroger College Series action as they host the Augustana Vikings. Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m. ET from USA Hockey Arena on Friday night and tickets are available at USAHockeyNTDP.com/tix or by calling the box office at 734-453-8400.
