Moore had perhaps Team USA's best chance of the second, grabbing a loose puck in the high slot and firing a shot on net, but Notre Dame goaltender and NTDP alum Nick Kempf (2022-24) kept the U.S. off the board.

Quinlan was phenomenal in net to keep the game tight through 40, including with a rob of a glove save on a wrister from NTDP alum and Irish returning leading scorer Danny Nelson (2022-23) in the final minute of the first. He had a combined 19 stops through the first two periods of play.

Team USA headed to a power play early in the third after Notre Dame's Tyler Carpenter took a five-minute major and was able to capitalize.

Moore got his stick on a rebound off an an initial shot by Conrad Fondrk (White Bear Lake, Minn.) from the right dot for the equalizer 6:58 into the period. Donny Bracco (Freeport, N.Y.) picked up a helper as well.

The U.S. continued to drive the net. Charlie Trethewey (Woodbine, Md.) rung one off the post with 1:30 left in the power play, then Landon Hafele (Fairbanks, Alaska) sent one just wide seconds later.

Kvasnicka brought Team USA it's first lead of the game with just :37 remaining on the man advantage with a one-timer right on the doorstep of Irish netminder Jack Williams. Moore and Cole McKinney (Lake Forest, Ill.) picked up points on the play as well.

But Biondi tied knotted the game at 2-2 with a power-play rebound score, then Grant Silianoff regained the Irish lead, flipping the puck over the right pad of Quinlan.

NTDP alum Maddox Flemming (2020-22) added a fourth with 3:32 on the clock, then an empty-net marker from Ian Murphy brought the final count to 5-2.

The U18s continue play in the 2024-25 Kroger College Series tomorrow with a trip to Kalamazoo, Michigan, to take on the Western Michigan University Broncos. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. ET from Lawson Ice Arena and the game can be streamed live here.
