U17s Continue NAHL Action, U18s to Play in USHL Showcase

NTDP Notebook Week of September 16-22

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 2-2-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the Under-18 Team and the Under-17 Team split their weekend games. On Friday night, the U18s took down the Youngstown Phantoms in a preseason contest at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube (W, 3-0, Sept. 13), before falling to the Phantoms the following night at USA Hockey Arena (L, 8-5, Sept. 14). The U17s traveled to New Mexico for a doubleheader against the Ice Wolves, dropping Friday's contest (L, 5-2, Sept. 13) before skating to a win the following night at Outpost Ice Arenas (OTW, 3-2, Sept. 14).

The U18s are on the road this weekend as they travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for the 2024 USHL Fall Showcase at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. They face-off against the Sioux Falls Stampede on Saturday night (Sept. 21) at 5:00 p.m. ET and against the Waterloo Blackhawks the following afternoon (Sunday, Sept. 22), at 2:00 p.m. ET. The U17s continue play in the NAHL with a Wednesday evening (Sept. 18) tilt against the Johnstown Tomahawks from 1ST SUMMIT ARENA at 7:00 p.m. ET.
