​Programmer Analyst – Full Stack

The Programmer Analyst is responsible for producing technical designs, establishing development standards and controls, develops or reviews application code and ensures operational readiness of applications or changes.

Department: ​​Information Technology 

Reports To: ​​Software Development Manager

Basic Function: ​The Programmer Analyst is responsible for producing technical designs, establishing development standards and controls, develops or reviews application code, ensure operational readiness of applications or changes, and assists in the supports of application systems including computer programs and database objects as needed.

Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Captures descriptions of business needs, writes program specifications and functions, and steps required to develop or modify applications. Provides estimates and plans for accomplished tasks. 

• Creates support, flow, and diagrams as documentation of applications and systems to ensure operational readiness. 

• Participates or leads development and delivery planning including estimates, work breakdown and task tracking using Agile approach.

• Assists Applications Support in troubleshooting and resolving escalated tickets. 

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated work experience (3 or more years) 

o Configuring/navigating between diverse server environments

▪ One of more of the following Linux, Windows

o Developing/reviewing/troubleshooting applications

▪ One or more of the following Perl, PHP, and JavaScript

o Designing/developing/supporting relational databases

▪ One or more of the following MSSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Strong client and customer service focus

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail 

Work Conditions:

• On-call availability

• Sitting for extended periods of time

• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components

• Occasional travel

• Workspace in a multi-level building

Salary:

• Salary range is $70,000-75,000 annually. This is a full-time position with an excellent benefit package. Benefits include: health, dental, vision, vacation, sick, personal time, and 403B with a match after six months. 

Availability:

• Position to begin immediately at USA Hockey’s national headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colo. Flexibility for remote candidates may be considered, but applicants must be able to commute to the headquarters location on a regular basis (2-3 times per month).
