NTDP Notebook Week of Jan. 8-14

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 32-21-5-3 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the U18s and the U17s dropped their weekend games. On Friday night, the U18s traveled to East Lansing and fell Michigan State (W, 5-2, Jan. 5), then hosted the University of Michigan the following night (Jan. 6), dropping a 5-1 contest. The U17s were on the road the whole weekend, suffering a loss to Tri-City on Friday (L, 4-1, Jan. 5) and again on Saturday (L, 10-9, Jan. 6).

The U17s play at USA Hockey Arena for the first time since November in their lone games against the Dubuque Fighting Saints this season, with puck drops at 7:00 p.m. ET on both Friday (Jan. 12) and Saturday (Jan. 13) night. The U18s are on the road and jumpstart the weekend action Thursday night against the Sioux Falls Stampede at 8:05 p.m. ET inside the PREMIER Center. The two teams rematch Friday (Jan. 14) night in Sioux Falls at 8:05 p.m. ET.

Overall Record: U18: 19-10-2-1 | U17: 13-11-3-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL)

Team USA USHL Record: 11-15-1-1 (W-L-OTL-SOL) with 24 PTS in 28 GP, 7th place in the Eastern Conference
