Potter gave the U.S. a 2-1 lead just shy of the game's halfway mark. Will Horcoff (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) dished the puck to Charlie Trethewey (Woodbine, Md.) on the right wing and Tretheway passed it to Potter at the right circle. The All-Stars got one more as Jackson Ernst buried a rebound to make things 3-2 heading into the final frame.
