U18s to Host Des Moines and Western Michigan; U17s Travel to Elite League Showcase

NTDP Notebook Week of Oct. 2-8

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 5-5-0-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL-T) record after the U18s split their weekend games and the U17s fell both Friday and Saturday. On Friday morning, the U18s suffered a loss to Muskegon  (L, 6-3, Sept. 29) and the U17s lost to Green Bay at USA Hockey Arena (L, 6-2, Sept. 29). On Saturday night, the U18s defeated Green Bay in their home opener (W, 10-3, Oct. 1), and the U17s fell to Youngstown (L, 12-0, Oct. 1).

The U18s host a doubleheader this weekend as they face the Des Moines Buccaneers on Friday night (Oct. 6) at 7:00 p.m. ET followed by the Western Michigan Broncos on Saturday night (Oct. 7) at 7:00 p.m. ET in the opening game of the 2023-24 Kroger College Series. The U17s travel to New Hope, Minnesota, for the Elite League Showcase to play the Elite League All-Star Team on Saturday (Oct. 7) at 1:00 p.m. ET and Sunday (Oct. 8) at 10:00 a.m. ET at the New Hope Ice Arena.

Overall Record: U18: 4-2-0-0 | U17: 1-3-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL)

Team USA USHL Record: 3-3-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) with six PTS in six GP, Tied for 1st place in the Eastern Conference
