NTDP Announces 2023-24 Kroger College Series Home Slate

The University of Michigan headlines opponents visiting USA Hockey Arena

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - The 2023-24 U.S. National Under-18 Team will face six different collegiate opponents at USA Hockey Arena as part of the Kroger College Series for the upcoming season. Fans will be able to see three in-state opponents, headlined by the University of Michigan alongside Western Michigan University and Adrian University, as well as Stevenson University, Niagara University and St. Thomas University next year. 

"We are thrilled to announce our 2023-24 NCAA home schedule and are excited for another great year of college hockey at USA Hockey Arena," said Scott Monaghan, USA Hockey's assistant executive director for the NTDP and USA Hockey Arena. "We know our fans will have the Michigan and Western Michigan games circled, but we also have a great up-and-coming program in St. Thomas and in-state rival Adrian on the docket that will help showcase the increasing young talent across the country."

The U18s will open up the college slate when they host Western Michigan on Saturday, October 7. The Broncos have advanced to the NCAA Tournament in each of the past two seasons.

Adrian College will visit USA Hockey Arena to kick off the Thanksgiving festivities. Team USA will look to avenge last year's loss in what will be the 20th career matchup between the Bulldogs and the NTDP. 

The college series continues the day after Thanksgiving when the Stevenson Mustangs get to town for a tilt on Friday, November 24. This will be the first ever matchup between the NTDP and Stevenson. The Mustangs compete out of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) where they went 15-10-2 in 2022-23. 

The Michigan Wolverines make the short drive from Ann Arbor to Plymouth for a highly anticipated contest on Saturday, January 6. Michigan advanced the 2023 Frozen Four before falling to eventual champion, Quinnipiac, in the semifinals. The Wolverines will roster seven NTDP alums, including new transfers Marshall Warren and Tyler Duke. 

Team USA closes out its slate with a pair of contests against Niagara and St. Thomas during the last weekend of January. Both teams make the return trip to Michigan after the NTDP played in Western New York and St. Paul, respectively, last season.
