U17s Set To Host First Round of USHL Playoffs

Team USA takes on Cedar Rapids at USA Hockey Arena in best-of-three series

NTDP Notebook April 24-26; First Round of USHL Playoffs

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters the USHL playoffs 82-30-4-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the U17s dropped both of their games on the road at Youngstown. On Friday night, the U17s fell to Youngstown in a tight game (L, 3-1, April 21) and dropped their regular season finale the following night against the Phantoms (L, 5-1, April 22) inside Covelli Centre.

The U17s have a quick turnaround time as they host Cedar Rapids in the opening round of the USHL playoffs, which will be a best-of-three series all at USA Hockey Arena. For ticket info, click here. Team USA is set to host their first playoff game since 2018 and will look for their first playoff win since the 2018 playoffs. The best-of-three series will start Monday (April 24) at 7:00 p.m. ET, followed by game two on Tuesday (April 25) at 7:00 p.m. ET. If necessary, game three will be played on Wednesday (April 26) at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Overall Record: U18: 45-9-2-2 | U17: 35-21-2-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL)

Team USA USHL Record: 36-21-3-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) with 77 PTS in 62 GP, 3rd place in the Eastern Conference
