Team USA takes On Cedar Rapids in potential playoff matchup

NTDP Notebook Week of April 3-9

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 75-27-3-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the U18s gathered three points in three games, while the U17s won their sole game of the weekend. On Tuesday night, the U18s hosted Muskegon and beat the Lumberjacks in the U18s last home game (W,10-1, March 28). On Saturday night, the U18s fell in overtime in Chicago but picked up a point in the loss (OTL, 6-5, April 1). The following day, the U18s dropped their final game of the season to the Steel (L, 7-3, April 2) while the U17s defeated the Capitols in Madison (SOW, 5-4, April 2).

The U18s closed out their season with the fewest loses in regulation in one season (nine) of any U18 group prior to the IIHF U18 World Championship. The U17s return back to USA Hockey Arena for the first time in over a month for a showdown against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, a look at a potential playoff matchup. Both games (Fri., April 7 and Sat., April 8) will begin at 7:00 p.m. ET.
