U18s and U17s Both Square Off in USHL Play

U18s hit the road for Green Bay; U17s host the Phantoms in Salute to Heroes Appreciation Weekend

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 65-22-2-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the U18s swept their weekend series and the U17s split their weekend games. On Friday night, the U18s hosted Lindenwood University and beat the Lions in Team USA's highest-scoring game against an NCAA opponent (W, 12-4, Feb. 24). The U17s were in Muskegon and fell in the weekend series' first game (L, 7-4, Feb. 24). On Saturday night, the U18s defeated the Lions in their last Kroger College Series game (W, 6-1, Feb. 25), and the U17s defeated the Lumberjacks to split the weekend (W, 5-1, Feb. 25).

The U18s are on the road this weekend as they travel to Green Bay, Wisconsin to face-off against the Green Bay Gamblers for the first time this season on Friday night (March 3) and Saturday night (March 4) with both games at 8:00 p.m. ET. The U17s host the Youngstown Phantoms for their first home game in a month Friday (March 3) and Saturday (March 4) night at USA Hockey Arena. Team USA will be sporting special jerseys for the 10th annual Salute to Heroes Appreciation Weekend. Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m. ET on both nights.

Overall Record: U18: 36-7-1-2 | U17: 29-15-1-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL)

Team USA USHL Record: 24-13-1-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) with 51 PTS in 40 GP, 4th place in the Eastern Conference
