U18s Travel to Wisconsin; U17s Host USHL Series

U18s visit Madison Capitols Thursday before Wisconsin Badgers Friday; U17s faceoff against Green Bay at home

NTDP Notebook Week of Jan. 9-15

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 44-16-2-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the U18s split their weekend college series and the U17s dropped their road matchups against Youngstown. On Friday night, the U18s made the small trek over to Ann Arbor, Mich. and fell to the University of Michigan Wolverines (L, 7-6, Jan. 6). While on the road at Youngstown, the U17s dropped their opener (L, 4-3, Jan. 6) followed by another one-goal game the following night (L, 5-4, Jan. 7). At home on Saturday, the U18s returned to the win column as the team took down Mercyhurst University (W, 6-1, Jan. 7).

The U18s are on the road this weekend as they travel to Collegeville, Minnesota to face-off against the St. John’s University Johnnies on Friday night (Jan. 26) at 8:00 p.m. ET. The following night (Saturday, Jan. 27), the U18s take on Minnesota State at 8:07 p.m. ET at the Verizon Center in Mankato, Minnesota. The U17s host the Dubuque Fighting Saints on Friday night (Jan. 26) at USA Hockey Arena at 7:05 p.m. ET and travel to Muskegon on Saturday (Jan. 26) to face-off against the Lumberjacks at 7:15 p.m. ET.

Overall Record: U18: 25-5-1-2 | U17: 19-11-1-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL)

Team USA USHL Record: 14-9-1-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) with 31 PTS in 26 GP, 5th place in the Eastern Conference.
