U18s Play Pair of College Matchups; U17s Prep for Weekend Road Tilt

Andrew Copp Bobblehead Night highlights sole home game; U17s visit Youngstown & U18s play at Michigan before hosting Mercyhurst

NTDP Notebook Week of Jan. 2-8

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 43-13-2-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the U18s dropped both of their college games while the U17s split their weekend games. On Thursday afternoon, the U18s traveled to Minnesota and fell to the University of Minnesota (L, 3-2, Dec. 29). Back at USA Hockey Arena on Friday night, the U17s fell to Muskegon (L, 9-6, Dec. 30) but avenged their loss at Muskegon to close out the year with a win (W, 7-3, Dec. 31). Also on Saturday, the U18s were back in action as they faced off against North Dakota but fell in overtime (OTL, 4-3, Dec. 31).

The U18s stay in Michigan this week for an away and home game as they head a half-hour west to Ann Arbor to face-off against the University of Michigan Friday night (Jan. 6) at 7:00 p.m. ET. The following night (Saturday, Jan. 7), the U18s return to USA Hockey Arena to take on Mercyhurst University at 7:00 p.m. ET for NTDP alum Andrew Copp's Bobblehead Night. The U17s visit the Youngstown Phantoms this weekend for a pair of games (Jan. 6 & 7) with puck drop at 7:00 p.m. ET on both nights.

Overall Record: U18: 24-4-1-2 | U17: 19-9-1-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL)

Team USA USHL Record: 14-7-1-2 (W-L-OTL-SOL) with 31 PTS in 24 GP, 3rd place in the Eastern Conference
