USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 36-10-0-1 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the U17s split their home weekend series against the Madison Capitols. On Friday night, the U17s held off the Capitols and won, 4-2 (Dec. 2). Max Plante (Hermantown, Minn.) potted the game winner in the third period while Brendan McMorrow (Lakeville, Minn.) sealed the deal with an empty-net goal. On Saturday night (Dec. 3), the U17s fell to the Capitols, 6-1, where Christian Humphreys (Pittsburgh, Pa.) netted Team USA's lone goal.
The U18s host a pair of games this weekend inside USA Hockey Arena, with the Chicago Steel in town Friday (Dec. 9), followed by another rendition of the Kroger College Series with the Utica Pioneers visiting on Saturday (Dec. 10), with both games at 7:00 p.m. ET. Team USA has a weekend of promotions, with a 'Team USA ornament' giveaway on Friday, followed by the annual teddy bear toss on Saturday. The U17s are on the road this weekend as they travel to Muskegon for a single game this Friday (Dec. 9) at 7:00 p.m. ET.
