U18s Play Two Road College Games; U17s Home for Single Game

U18s faceoff against RPI and Army; U17s host Fighting Saints Friday night

NTDP Notebook Week of Oct. 17-23

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 13-5-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after both the U18s and U17s split their weekend series. The Under-18 Team took down St. Thomas Friday, 5-2, led by a trio of assists from Will Smith (Lexington, Mass.) and a career-high 39 saves from Trey Augustine (South Lyon, Mich.). The following night, the U18s fell for the first time this season, ending their nine-game win streak, against Bethel University, 4-2. The U17s were defeated Friday night against the Steel, 8-3, but earned a 5-4 win the following night for their first home win. USHL Defenseman of the Week Cole Hutson (Barrington, Ill.) tallied three assists in the win while James Hagens (Hauppauge, N.Y.) and Cole Eiserman (Newburyport, Mass.) recorded two goals and an assist each.

The U17s return home for a single game against the Dubuque Fighting Saints Friday at 7:00 p.m. ET. The U18s hit the road again for a pair of College Series games against RPI on Friday at 7:00 p.m. ET, followed by Army Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. ET.
