U18s Hit the Road for Pair of College Games; U17s Open Up Play at Home

U18s travel to Minnesota for pair against St. Thomas and Bethel; U17s face Steel in home opener

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 11-3-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) record after the U18s swept its weekend series against NCAA DI opponents on home ice.  The Under-18 Team took down Lake Superior State Friday, 5-2, led by a pair of goals from Gabe Perreault (Hinsdale, Ill.) and Carter Slaggert (South Bend, Ind.). The following night, the U18s went on to win its eight-straight game, the best start to a season by a U18 team, after a 6-2 win over nationally-ranked Michigan Tech as Ryan Leonard (Amherst, Mass.) and Cole Eiserman (Newburyport, Mass.) scored a pair of goals apiece.

The U17s open up play on home ice against the Chicago Steel, both Friday and Saturday at 7:00 p.m. ET. The U18s head to Minnesota for a pair of College Series games against St. Thomas University on Friday at 8:00 p.m. ET, followed by Bethel University Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. ET.
