U18s Prep For College Series Games on Road; U17s Travel to Cedar Rapids

U18s trek to Michigan State and Notre Dame, while U17s open up USHL play

NTDP Notebook Week of Sept. 26-Oct. 2

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play this weekend with a 6-2-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) combined record after the U18s  swept their weekend games at the USHL Fall Classic. On Saturday night, the U18s beat the Omaha Lancers by a 3-2 final in overtime thanks to a Will Smith (Lexington, Mass.) tally. On Sunday afternoon, the U18s defeated the Waterloo Black Hawks, again by a 3-2 score to complete the Classic in Pittsburgh. 

The U18s are on the road this weekend as they travel to the Michigan state capital to face off against the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. ET. The following night, the U18s continue on their road trip  to take on Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. ET at Compton Family Ice Arena in South Bend, Indiana. The U17s make their USHL debut as they travel to Iowa to square up with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Friday and Saturday evenings at ImOn Ice. 

Overall Record: U18: 4-0-0-0 | U17: 2-2-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL)

Team USA USHL Record: 2-0-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) with 4 PTS in 2 GP, 1st place in the Eastern Conference.
