Promos highlighted by Star Wars Night, military weekend and two bobblehead giveaways

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - USA Hockey's National Team Development Program announced today its promotional schedule and theme nights for its upcoming 25th anniversary season at USA Hockey Arena. Throughout the season, fans will have the opportunity to collect NTDP-themed items, a poster series, a pair of bobbleheads, participate in theme nights and get to meet your Team USA players.

Team USA kicks off the anniversary season on October 1-2 with matchups against the USHL's Youngstown Phantoms and the NCAA's Michigan State Spartans. On opening weekend, the first 1,000 fans into the rink will be able to go home with a 2021-22 magnet schedule (Oct. 1) and the first 25th anniversary series poster featuring NTDP/MSU alumni (Oct. 2).

See below for further details on other 2021-22 NTDP promotions:

Bobblehead Nights

Yes, you read that right, it's nights, plural! The NTDP is hosting a pair of bobblehead giveaways in the second half of the season. Bobbleheads will be available for the first 1,000 fans who purchase a ticket bundle by calling the USA Hockey Arena box office at 734-453-6400 x396.

On February 25, 2022, when the U18s take on the Green Bay Gamblers, the bobblehead giveaway will feature the Blackhawks' Patrick Kane (NTDP 2002-04), thanks to our friends at Nankin Hobby.

One month later, Quinn Hughes (NTDP 2015-17) will be the man of the night on March 25 with his bobblehead, sponsored by Trading Desk Ventures. The U18s will host the Youngstown Phantoms in that night's game.

Return of the Jedi

Star Wars is back! The U17s will don the fantasy-themed sweaters on January 21 when the Madison Capitols come to town. After the game, the jerseys will be auctioned off and a portion of proceeds will be donated to charity. The jersey design will be released at a later date!

Carnival & Scout Weekend

It's a busy weekend on October 29-30 at USA Hockey Arena! It's our annual carnival weekend when games and activities will be lined up along the concourse for all fans to try throughout the night.

It also marks our Scout Weekend as we invite all scouts to the rink to take in the games. All groups who purchase the scouting ticket bundle will receive an NTDP shield patch for their uniform.

And of course, it's Halloween! Be on the lookout for some extra goodies hanging around the rink.

Meet the Team

Fans will have plenty of opportunities to meet the 2021-22 Team USA roster throughout the season!

Their first opportunity will be on October 9 when the U18s will stick around after their game with the Muskegon Lumberjacks to sign autographs on the concourse. The U17s will match a week later on October 16 after their game with the Madison Capitols. Fans who attend either game will receive a respective team poster of who's playing on that night!

Each group will also host a postgame skate with autographs on the ice. The U18s will skate after they host Adrian College on November 5, while the U17s will stay as a New Year's special after they take on the Youngstown Phantoms in a 4 pm afternoon tilt on December 30.

Military Weekend

Team USA's Military Weekend returns on March 18-19, 2022, against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. The U18s will sport newly-designed USA jerseys for Saturday night's contest, that will be auctioned off for charity after the game.

Poster Series

Team USA will have a season-long poster series that decorates groups of alumni throughout the 25th anniversary season. The first will be Michigan State alumni on October 2 as we take on the Spartans. Following, poster themes will include prominent alumni, U.S. Olympic Team alums and others for a total of six posters throughout the season.
