Based off of NTDP shield, logo celebrates history of program

USA Hockey's National Team Development Program today unveiled the commemorative 25th Anniversary logo, which will be featured throughout the 2021-22 season on jerseys, merchandise, broadcast, signage and digital and social media content.

DESIGN
The new logo is based off of the current NTDP crest logo, designed by the late Jim Johannson. The logo features small intricacies that remember the first 25 years of the program's history.

ANN ARBOR - PLYMOUTH
The two locations of the National Team Development Program. From 1996-2015, the NTDP played out of the Ice Cube in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After USA Hockey purchased USA Hockey Arena, the team moved 20 miles down the road to Plymouth to begin the 2015-16 season.

STARS
The logo features 10 stars across the middle, representing each of the 10 IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championships that Team USA has won since 2002.

STRIPES
The bottom half of the logo is filled out by 13 red and white stripes as seen on the United States' flag, a reminder of who the team represents on the ice.
