GREEN BAY, Wisconsin - Team USA fought hard the entire night to keep the Gamblers at bay, but it was not enough as they closed out their three game weekend with a 4-2 loss.

Marek Hejduk (Parker, Colo.) broke the 0-0 tie with his 7th goal of the season off a pass from Frank Nazar III (Mount Clemens, Mich.) in the second period, but from then on it was all Green Bay's game.

Box Score

In the final 5 minutes of the second period, Green Bay scored 3 goals, enough to seal the win for them. Prior to that scoring outburst, Tyler Muszelik (Long Valley, N.J.) had managed 24 saves in route to an overall 35 save night.

Team USA went back into lockdown and was able to keep the Gamblers from adding to their lead for the first 12 minutes of the final frame. Green Bay then scored a power play goal with just over 7 minutes remaining to make it 4-1, and still on a power play.

Less than a minute later, Nazar scored his 25th of the season, a short-handed Team USA goal to give us our final score of 4-2.

The U17s return to action on Friday, April 9th against the Green Bay Gamblers at USA Hockey Arena. Puck drop for the contest is set for 7 p.m. ET.
