USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters the weekend with a combined 49-21-1-4-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL-T) record following a trio of matchups between Team USA and the Youngstown Phantoms. The U.S. National Under-17 Team earned a 4-2 win and a 6-4 loss against the Phantoms in a Friday-Saturday series before the U.S. National Under-18 Team rounded out the weekend with a 9-0 shutout of Youngstown in the Sunday game. Chaz Lucius (Grant, Minn.) and Isaac Howard (Hudson, Wis.) each posted four points in the Sunday victory, and Howard added a goal in Saturday's contest for five points on the weekend. The U18s then traveled to Muskegon on Tuesday, falling 7-6 in a high-scoring game.
The NTDP hits the road for a quartet of USHL contests this weekend. The U17s get things started with a Thursday-Friday series against the Dubuque Fighting Saints, both slated for 8 p.m. ET starts. The team then travels to Wisconsin for a game against the Green Bay Gamblers, while the U18s face Chicago.
