USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program enters play the weekend with a combined 24-8-1-2-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL-T) after the U.S. National Under-18 Team went two for two in a pair of games against USHL and NAHL opponents last weekend, and the U17s dropped a trio of games in the USHL. The U18s faced the Youngstown Phantoms for the first time this season, skating to a 5-2 win with goals courtesy of five different players. On Monday, the U18s faced the Johnstown Tomahawks, skating to a 5-4 win to earn their fifth win in six games.
The U17s lost a trio of games against in USHL play, first suffering their first series sweep at the hands of the Green Bay Gamblers in a Wednesday-Thursday series, before falling to the Muskegon Lumberjacks, 4-3, at USA Hockey Arena Saturday.
The U17s continue league play with a pair of games against the Chicago Steel this weekend, while the U18s play host to both Adrian College and Bowling Green State University in a Sunday-Monday series as they continue the 2020-21 Kroger College Series. Friday, Saturday and Monday's contests are slated for 7 p.m. ET starts, while puck drop for Sunday's game is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.
