U17s Rebound Against Jets With 10-1 Victory

Stramel, Lucius notch pair of goals

JANESVILLE, Wis. – The U.S. National Under-17 Team rallied from Friday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Janesville Jets in convincing fashion, skating to a 10-1 victory over the Jets Saturday evening at Janesville Ice Arena. 

Jimmy Snuggerud (Chaska, Minn.) scored early in the first period to kickstart a seven-goal scoring tear for the U.S., firing a feed from Logan Cooley (West Mifflin, Pa.) past Janesville goaltender Riley Sims to make it a 1-0 game. 

In addition to Snuggerud, seven other skaters notched goals in the victory, including Charlie Stramel (Rosemount, Minn.) and Cruz Lucius (Grant, Minn.) who each scored a pair of goals.

Tyler Muszelik (Long Valley, N.J.) notched the win in goal for the U.S.. stopping 33 of the 34 shots he faced. 

The U17s return to play next weekend when they face the Jets at USA Hockey Arena. Both games are slated for 3 p.m. puck drops and can be streamed live on HockeyTV.
