DES MOINES, Iowa - The U.S. National Under-18 Team outshot Des Moines by a 55-12 margin but fell to the Buccaneers, 4-2, Friday evening in Iowa.

Dylan Duke (Strongsville, Ohio) got Team USA on the board with 31 seconds to play in the second period when he converted on a one-timer from defenseman Ethan Straky (Ormond Beach, Fla.) behind the net. The score was Duke's third of the season as he extended his point-streak to eight consecutive games to start the season.

Sasha Pastujov (Bradenton, Fla.) grabbed his eighth score of the year after the U18s pulled their goalie for a 6-on-4 advantage late in the game. Sean Behrens (Barrington, Ill.) set it up with a perfect pass from the left face-off dot to Pastujov sitting at the right dot. The forward now has 12 points in eight games.

Former NTDP forward Tanner Latsch netted the opening goal early in the first period for the Buccaneers. Des Moines followed with three goals in the second before Team USA finished with the final pair of scores.

After seven shots apiece in the opening frame, Team USA outshot the Bucs 25-4 in the second period and 23-1 in the third.

The U18s return to USA Hockey Arena next weekend to host the Bowling Green Falcons on Saturday night in their Kroger College Series. Puck drop is slated for 7:05 p.m. and tickets are available at USAHockeyNTDP.com/tix.
