UFA, Russia - The U.S. National Under-17 Team opened their Five Nations tournament this morning (Feb. 5) with a 7-3 win against the Czech Republic.
Aidan Hreschuk (Long Beach, Calif.) picked up two assists and was named U.S. Player of the Game.
UFA, Russia - Justin Janicke (Maple Grove, Minn.) scored a shorthanded goal with just over five minutes to play in regulation as the U.S. National Under-17 Team defeated Sweden, 3-2, in theri second game at the Under-17 Five Nations tournament.
KLASTEREC, Czech Republic - Matthew Beniers (Hingham, Mass.) scored at the 3:52 mark of overtime as the U.S. National Under-18 Team came from behind to top the Czech Republic, 3-2, in their first game of the Five Nations tournament Thursday (Feb. 6) evening.
UFA, Russia - Chaz Lucius (Grant, Minn.) ended the game 38 seconds into overtime as the U.S. National Under-17 Team remained undefeated at their Five Nations tournament with a 5-4 overtime win against Finland.
KLASTEREC, Czech Republic - The U.S. National Under-18 Team won for the second straight day as they topped Russia, 3-2, behind two points from Luke Tuch (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) at the Five Nations tournament.
CHOMUTOV, Czech Republic - Landon Slaggert's (South Bend, Ind.) first career NTDP hat-trick led the U.S. National Under-18 Team to a 5-2 victory over Team Sweden at the Five Nations in the Czech Republic.
UFA, Russia - The U.S. National Under-17 Team fell to Russia, 4-0, today in the finale of their Five Nations tournament. With the loss Team USA finished in second place.
CHOMUTOV, Czech Republic - The U.S. National Under-18 Team fell to Finland, 3-1, Sunday evening in the Five Nations championship game at Rocknet Arena in the Czech Republic.
Team USA finished the tournament with a 2-1-0-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record and second place out of the five competing countries.
