GAME DAY: U17s Face Canada White in Semifinal

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - The U.S. National Under-17 Team faces Canada White, for the second time this week, in its semifinal game tonight (Nov. 8) at 7 p.m. MT/9 p.m. ET. 

CANADA WHITE PREVIEW 

The U.S. faces Canada White today in semifinal action and for the second time this tournament. 

The U.S. beat Canada White, 6-4 in preliminary play on Nov. 4. 

FINLAND RECAP 

The U.S. downed Finland in its quarterfinal match-up on Thursday (Nov. 7), 8-4. Chaz Lucius (Grant, Minn.)  netted a hat trick in the win. 

CAN’T STOP, WON’T STOP

U17 forward Chaz Lucius (Grant, Minn.) scored his 21st goal of the season Thursday (Nov. 7) night against Finland. His 21st also finished a hat trick for the University of Minnesota commit. 

TOURNAMENT LEADERS

Team USA seven players who are among the top scorers and goaltenders at the Challenge through the quarterfinal round. Chaz Lucius leads the tournament in points after his quarterfinal hat trick with nine. Dylan Duke and Sean Behrens are tied, with two others, for second with seven. Lucius also leads the tournament in goals with six.

Behrens and Sasha Pastujov are tied for first with the most assists, each having tallied six.

Gibson Homer is third among goaltenders in goals against average (GAA) with 2.93.

TOP SCORERS 

Chaz Lucius (Grant, Minn.) leads Team USA at the Challenge with 11 points (7-4-11) through five games, including the pre-tournament game. Sasha Pastujov (Bradenton, Ill.), Sean Behrens (Barrington, Ill.) and Dylan Duke (Strongsville, Ohio) each have nine points. Pastujov has two goals and seven assists, Behrens has tallied one goal and eight assists while Duke has six goals and three assists.
