U18s Fall in Weekend Opener to Cornell

NCAA Series continues tomorrow afternoon against Canisius

ITHACA, N.Y. - The U.S. National Under-18 Team fell to the Cornell Big Red, 3-0, Saturday evening at Lynah Rink in New York in their first of two matchups on the weekend.

 

Cornell managed a goal in each period of play that started with Max Andreev's score at 5:45 of the first.

Brendan Locke followed in the second period with a goal on a delayed penalty just under nine minutes into the frame.

The Big Red's Tristan Mullin capped the game's scoring with a goal near the halfway mark of the third for the 3-0 final.

Team USA goaltender Noah Grannan (Germantown, Wis.) recorded 23 saves in net.

The U18s are back in action tomorrow afternoon as they take on Canisius College at HarborCenter in Buffalo, N.Y. Puck drop is slated for 3:05 p.m.
