Tickets on Sale for 2019 World Junior Summer Showcase

27 Players with NTDP Ties to Compete at 2019 WJSS

Tickets are now on sale for the 2019 World Junior Summer Showcase, which will be hosted at USA Hockey Arena for the first time since 2017.

The 2019 event will consist of 11 games played from July 27 - August 3. The week-long camp includes international competitions between Canada, Finland, Sweden and the United States in preparation for the 2020 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship that will take place in Ostrava and Trinec, Czech Republic from Dec. 26, 2019 - Jan. 5, 2020.

The event will feature 22 players that have skated in a full season with USA Hockey's National Team Development Program, along with five other skaters who have appeared in at least one game with the NTDP. In total, 10 NTDP invitees were first-round picks in the NHL Draft. John Beecher (Elmira, N.Y./Boston Bruins, 30th overall), Matthew Boldy (Millis, Mass./Minnesota Wild, 12th overall), Cole Caufield (Stevens Point, Wis./Montreal Canadiens, 15th overall), Spencer Knight (Darien, Conn./Florida Panthers, 13th overall), Alex Turcotte (Island Lake, Ill./Los Angeles Kings, 5th overall), Cam York (Anaheim Hills, Calif./Philadelphia Flyers, 14th overall) and Trevor Zegras (Bedford, N.Y./Anaheim Ducks, 9th overall) were all selected in the first round of the 2019 NHL Draft.

Joel Farabee (Cicero, N.Y./Philadelphia Flyers, 14th overall), K'Andre Miller (Minnetonka, Minn./New York Rangers, 22nd overall) and Oliver Wahlstrom (Quincy, Mass./New York Islanders, 11th overall) were selected in the first round of the 2018 NHL Draft and spent the 2016-18 seasons with USA Hockey's NTDP.

In total,  10 WJSS attendees skated the 2018-19 season with the U.S. Under-18 National Team of USA Hockey's NTDP, including Beecher, Boldy, Caufield, Drew Helleson (Farmington, Minn./Colorado Avalanche, 47th overall), Knight, Owen Lindmark (Naperville, Ill./Florida Panthers, 137th overall), Turcotte, Alex Vlasic (Wilmette, Ill./Chicago Blackhawks, 43rd overall), York and Zegras.

Other players attending the 2019 WJSS include 2016-18 NTDP season players Ty Emberson (Eau Claire, Wis./Arizona Coyotes, 73rd overall), Jon Gruden (Rochester Hills, Mich./Ottawa Senators, 95th overall), Blade Jenkins (Jackson, Mich./New York Islanders, 134th overall),  Trevor Janicke (Maple Grove, Minn./Anaheim Ducks, 132nd overall), Mattias Samuelsson (Voorhees, N.J./Buffalo Sabres, 32nd overall) and Bode Wilde (Birmingham, Mich./New York Islanders, 41st overall). 

Drew DeRidder (Fenton, Mich.), who has appeared in 40 games for the NTDP, is eligible for the 2020 NHL Draft.

Individual day passes are just $5 for Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28.

The price increases to $10 for the next three days of the event while the final day, Saturday, August 3, will be $20. Each day pass includes two games except for Tuesday, July 30, which features Team USA taking on Canada. Parking is free with the exception of August 3, where there will be a $5 charge per vehicle.

Fans have the option to purchase a weekend pass, good for the final four games, for just $25. A full-tournament pass to see all 11 contests is also available for $45.
