YOUNGSTOWN PHANTOMS:  The two sides played a pair of games back in January that ended in a weekend split at Covelli Centre. The U17s took game one, 4-2, and the Phantoms claimed the final game, 6-3.

Defenseman Trey Taylor leads all Phantoms with nine goals and 30 assists for 39 points on the season. Charlie Lurie, a Minnetonka, Minn. native, sits second for Youngstown with 37 points, recording 14 goals and 23 helpers on the season.

Nine Phantoms have hit over 20 points throughout the season thus far with five with 30 or more points. Combined, Kyle Bettens, Jaden Grant, Garrett Wright, Lurie and Taylor have totaled 177 points (69g, 108a).

Youngstown has run with the goalie combo of Kyle Chauvette and Jacob Fowler for the majority of the season. Fowler has slightly better numbers in 12 games, playing to a 8-3-0-1 record, 2.09 GAA and .930 SV%. Chauvette has seen more time in the cage, recording a 15-11-4-2 record, 3.23 GAA and .895 SV% in 32 games played. 

MADISON CAPITOLS:  The Capitols run in the middle of the pack, ranking fifth in the USHL's Eastern Conference standings with a 27-27-2-0 record for 56 total points on the season. They are coming off a split weekend against the Chicago Steel, dropping on the road in game one, 7-2, before winning in overtime at home, 6-5.

Defenseman Luke Mittelstadt sits atop the Captiols, leading his team with 51 points on the season, tallying up 18 goals and 33 assists in 56 games played. The blueliner is coming off a hot run that included scoring the overtime winner against Chicago. 

Madison's recent top line made up of , Quinn Finley, Casey Severo and Kyle Kukkonen together make up 45 goals on the season, in addition to their combined 68 assists.

Simon Latkoczy has proven himself reliable as netminder for the Capitols as the University of Nebraska-Omaha commit has appeared in 37 games, playing to a 20-15-1-0 record, 3.50 GAA and .881 save percentage. Also finding time between the pipes for the Capitols is Mason Kucenski who has seen action in nine games for Madison. The Massachusetts native netminder has posted an 5-2-0 record, 3.401 GAA and .897 SV%.

The Captiols have taken all three meetings with the U17s this season, most recently claiming a 5-2 victory on Jan. 21 at USA Hockey Arena
