D OF THE WEEK: U18 defenseman Lane Hutson (North Barrington, Ill.) earned his second USHL Defenseman of the Week award for Week 25.

Hutson collected a goal and three assists in Saturday's 7-4 win over Cedar Rapids to tie his season-high of four points.

The Boston University commit has been on a tear over his last 10 games, racking up 15 points (4g-11a) over that span, including five multi-point efforts.

The 5-foot-9 blueliner leads all NTDP defensemen with 49 points (9g-40a) on the season and leads the program with a +41 rating.

SEVEN STRAIGHT: The Under-18 Team swept its weekend set with Cedar Rapids to extend its winning streak to seven consecutive games, dating back to February 25's 11-3 win over Green Bay.

The streak is the second longest of the season after the team won a dozen straight from October 30 - December 11.

Over the current stretch, the U18s have outscored their opponents by a 50-22 margin, more than doubling up the competition.

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE: The Under-18 Team's 7-4 win Saturday night over Cedar Rapids improved the team's record to 13-1-1 on games played on Saturday this season.

The U18s have not suffered a Saturday night loss in 2022, ripping off five straight to start the new year. The team will have two more opportunities to extend the impressive record in the regular season, this Saturday evening against the Youngstown Phantoms and next Saturday, April 2 in Green Bay.

TREY DAY: Pushed into duty due to an injury, U17 goaltender Trey Augustine (South Lyon, Mich.) impressed in his first action with the Under-18 Team Sunday afternoon at USA Hockey Arena.

Augustine turned aside 33 of 34 attempts from the RoughRiders, collecting his fourth-most saves of the season and best save percentage in a USHL contest.

With the terrific performance, the University of Michigan commit extended his season-long record to 8-9-0, and improved his GAA to 3.10 and SV% to .904 on the campaign.

With Augustine's appearance, all three goaltenders from the U17s have now seen action in a U18 game this season.

Against Buffalo State, Carsen Musser (Sherburn, Minn.) put aside 22 of 23 shots to pick up the win.

Overseas, Michael Chambre (Fort Myers, Fla.) blanked Switzerland with a 23-save shutout and he made 10 of 11 saves in an NCAA game at Lake Superior State in January.
