WE'VE GOT THE POWER: The Under-18 Team has scored a power-play goal in each of its last nine games played. Matthew Beniers (Hingham, Mass.) leads the team with three PPG over that span and four goals overall with the man advantage this season.

COMMESS-0: U18s goaltender Drew Commesso (Norwell, Mass.) blanked the Tri-City Storm, 2-0, Saturday night for his third shutout of the season. With the win, Commesso improved his season record to 8-4-0 to go along with a 2.40 GAA and .916 save percentage. The 6-foot-2 goalie's shutout was the sixth of his NTDP career, moving him into a tie for fourth place on the all-time list.

WINNING THE TIGHT ONES: With two thrilling overtime victories last weekend, the NTDP U17s improved their record to 6-1-1 in one-goal games this season. Chaz Lucius (Grant, Minn.) won Friday's game with a highlight-reel goal as six seconds remained in OT and Ethan Straky (Ormond Beach, Fla.) ended Saturday's game against Sioux City in the extra period. The team is just 8-7-0 in all other games that ended in at least a two-goal differential.

SHORTIE CELLY: U17s forward Dylan Duke (Strongsville, Ohio) netted a shorthanded goal in Saturday's 6-5 (OT) win over the Sioux City Musketeers.

The goal was Duke's 14th score of the season, his first shorthanded marker. The U17s are undefeated in the six games that they've recorded a goal while a man down.

GALLAGHER COMMITS: U17s defenseman Ty Gallagher (Clarkston, Mich.) announced his commitment to the University of Notre Dame last night. Gallagher becomes the fourth U17 skater, along  with Justin Janicke, Sasha Pastujov and Ethan Straky, to become a part of the Fighting Irish after their time at the NTDP.

ROOKIE BLUE: Former NTDP members Quinn Hughes (NTDP 2015-17), Adam Fox (NTDP 2014-16) and Thatcher Demko (NTDP 2011-13) all find themselves among the top-5 rookies in select categories. Hughes' 18 points and 16 assists rank second in first-year players throughout the league. Fox's +6 rating ties him for fourth among rookies while Demko leads all rookie netminders with a 2.45 GAA and .919 save percentage.

THE EICHEL TOWER: NTDP alum Jack Eichel (Boston University; NTDP 2012-14) continues his impressive run as he extended his point-streak to a season-long six straight games on Monday night against Tampa Bay. The North Chelmsford, Mass. native has six goals and five assists for 11 points over that span, including a four-goal effort November 16 against Ottawa.

TOP TEN:  Along with Eichel, two other NTDP alums in Patrick Kane (NTDP 2004-06) and Auston Matthews (NTDP 2013-15) all currently sit tied for fourth in the NHL in scoring with 30 points apiece. Matthews leads the trio with 16 goals scored, while Eichel has 14 and Kane has potted 11 this year.
