SENSORY FRIENDLY GAME: The NTDP is partnering with the Autism Alliance of Michigan and Hines Park Lincoln to host its second annual sensory-friendly game at USA Hockey Arena on Sunday, Oct. 20. Puck drop is slated for 4:00 p.m. when the U.S. National Under-18 Team squares off against the USHL's Madison Capitols.

Fans attending the game can expect limited sounds and videos throughout the arena, a general admission seating section for maximum comfortability, available quiet rooms throughout the arena and a modified concessions menu featuring gluten-free pizza and other healthier options. In addition, the game will feature a Halloween fun zone, themed giveaways and a costume contest.

FARABEE SCORES: NTDP alum Joel Farabee (2015-17) netted his first goal of his professional career on Friday (Oct. 11) for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Farabee collected a stretch pass and roofed the puck on his backhand for his first goal with the Phantoms.

KESSEL HITS 1,000: Phil Kessel, who played with the NTDP from 2003- 2005, skated in his 1,000 NHL game on Saturday (Oct. 12) for the Arizona Coyotes. Kessel has also played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Boston Bruins.

COLE'S GOALS: Cole Caufield (2017-19) netted four goals over the weekend for the Wisconsin Badgers in a pair of games. Caufield became the first Badger in since 1963 to score multiple goals in his first two games.

BIG STAR: Cole Caufiled (2017-19) was named Second Star of the Week on Tuesday (Oct. 15) by the Big Ten Conference after collecting five points in two games. Caufield netted four goals and picked up an assist in the Badgers first two games of the season.

BOSTON COLLEGE/WISCONSIN GAME: On Friday (Oct. 11) Boston College hosted the Wisconsin Badgers in a game that featured 15 NTDP alumni. Cole Caufield (2017-19), Alex Turcotte (2017-19), and Owen Lindmark (2017-19) all skated in their first collegiate game alongside teammates Sean Dhooghe (2015-17), Ty Emberson (2016-18), K’Andre Miller (2016-18), and Tyler Inamoto (2015-17). On the other side of the ice was college freshmen Drew Helleson (2017-19), Marshall Warren (2017-19), Matt Boldy (2017-19), and Spencer Knight (2017-19), who skated with fellow NTDP alums Logan Hutsko (2015-17), Patrick Giles (2016-18), Graham McPhee (2014-16), and Zach Walker (2014-16).

Caulfield netted the first two goals of his college career while Warren, Boldy, and Lindmark, all collect one goal in their debuts. Knight picked up his first collegiate win with the Eagles winning, 5-3.

WAHLSTROM CALL-UP: On Tuesday (Oct. 15) NTDP alum Oliver Wahlstrom (2016-18) got his first call-up to the NHL’s New York Islanders. Wahlstrom skated in the Islanders’ 3-2 OT win against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday (Oct. 15).
